Butterfly Culture is transformation and cyclical. I am of Norwegian heritage and I always remember my grandmothers house being filled with blue and white porcelain knick knacks with the most intricate Rosemaling. Whenever I see anything similar in nature I can't help myself, I have to go take a closer look. Now I live in a very Hispanic area right on the U.S. and Mexico border and I'm in awe of just how similar their style of painting and storytelling is to my own Norwegian culture. Somehow it feels so full circle to be surrounded with shops that have beautiful blue and white painted knick knacks that take me right back to my childhood.
