In my neck of the woods we have old Copper Mines and Tumbleweeds. Some mines are still operating, others with closed gates and a wall of tumbleweeds against it. The wind blows from Mexico up the valleys in Arizona. Moving dirt and loose tumbleweeds across the open terrain and occasionally in an old copper mine. There they can live their lives unbothered by humans. Old copper mines make for a great place to call home for the tumbleweeds.
